You are Awesome Blossom!

This Zen Bouquet stamp is the latest of my Zentangle inspired stamp designs, and is being featured on the Magenta blog today. I designed it so that it would work for coloring, or stamped onto an all-over wash of color. In this case, I chose to color the blossoms, and used Tombow markers.

I stamped the Zen Bouquet stamp with Versafine Smokey Gray ink, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I colored the blossoms with various Tombow markers, just in the areas where I wanted the color to be darkest. I then took a clear Wink of Stella glitter brush marker and used it to pull the color out into each blossom and leaf. If you need more color, you can color your marker onto your craft mat, or an acrylic block and pick up the color with your Wink of Stella brush marker, just like using a water brush  This process is very fast and fun to do, and the end result is very glittery! It's hard to capture the sparkle in a photograph.

The sentiment, "You are Awesome" is also my design and is new in the Spring 2017 Collection, and was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I added a few white dots with a Uniball broad white gel pen.

I die cut the panel with the largest die in a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle set (see list of materials below). This creates a panel that is 3.75" x 5", and is perfect for matting onto a card.

All you need is Love

This post is in featured on the Magenta blog today. I love this Magenta Floral Background stamp designed by Nathalie Métivier. It's beautiful, and it's sized perfectly to cover a card 5.5" x 4.25"

I stamped the Floral Background onto a 5.5"  4.25" piece of 80# Neenah solar white cardstock with Versamark ink, and embossed with JudiKins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder. Using a blending tool, I applied Distress ink in Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, and Blueprint Sketch, until the colors were well blended.

I matted the panel with So Silk black cardstock, and used another piece of the black cardstock to add the sentiment.

I stamped the "All you need is love" sentiment with Versamark ink and embossed it with JudiKins White Diamond embossing powder. I cut a fishtail at the end to make it look like a banner, and popped it up with foam tape. I added a few sequins and it was done!

If you want to see this background technique step by step on another card, please link to my original post here.

Have a Beautiful day!

One of my most favorite stamps in the new Magenta Spring Collection is by the super talented Nathalie Métivier. I so love this stamp. This card is being featured on the Magenta blog today.

You could either color this in, or stamp and emboss on an overall wash of color. It was such a pleasure to color it! I stamped the image and the sentiment in Versafine Black Onyx ink. I used Prismacolor pencils to color. At the end, I added clear Wink of Stella glitter brush marker over each petal, and made dots at the center of each blossom with a Wedding Dress white Pico embellisher.

Here are some close-ups of that detail

I just love the white Pico dots on this flower; Nathalie's stamp was made for this embellishment.

The "Have a Beautiful day" sentiment is my design for this collection, and honestly, I had Nathalie's beautiful stamp in mind when I made it.
